What is Deep Learning?
Deep learning is defined as the process through which an individual becomes capable of transferring what has been learnt in one situation and applying it to new situations. This ability to transfer the learning is a litmus test to whether deep learning has actually occurred.
Deep learning has, however, been appropriated to take on even further meaning, namely the process of acquiring the six C’s; character, citizenship, collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking.
Deep learning is about students really understanding and engaging in something that is important to them and of value to the world. It is a catalyst for continuous transformation.
